Lindzy Sienkowski, MS, LPC, NCC, RYT
Lindzy Sienkowski earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2009, and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2012 at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Lindzy is a fully Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Lindzy works with clients 14 years of age and older, and has experience working with individuals, couples, families & groups. Her experience lends expertise in the areas of eating disorders, trauma, women’s issues, anxiety and depression.
Lindzy takes an empathic & integrative approach to counseling, most frequently utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Person-Centered therapies, tailoring sessions to the unique needs of each of her clients. She is passionate about helping her clients identify barriers to progress, and in turn develop & implement new ways of thinking & behaving that promote lasting change.
Lindzy has presented professionally to the public on the topics of eating disorders & body image disturbance, eating disorders & substance abuse, and teen suicide prevention. She is a professional member of the Michigan Counseling Association, the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association, the National Eating Disorders Association, the Academy for Eating Disorders, and the International Association of Trauma Professionals. She serves as an active volunteer for the Academy for Eating Disorders’ social media committee.
